The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tate drives through with a takedown into guard.
Tate pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hodges is keeping the position for now.
Hodges will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Tate with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hodges wants to stand and escape but Tate is having none of it.

Hodges gets to his feet - Tate follows without any prompting.

Tate throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hodges tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tate is in Hodges's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
