The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres misses the jab.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Torres throws a nice outside leg kick.
Schwarzmynager closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Torres sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Torres escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Schwarzmynager gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Schwarzmynager tries to free his leg and advance position but Torres is retaining full guard.

Torres is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Schwarzmynager pulls his head out easily.
Schwarzmynager is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Torres sees it coming and defends easily.
Schwarzmynager will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Torres has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Schwarzmynager can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Schwarzmynager is posturing up here but Torres has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Schwarzmynager tries to roll out but it's too tight and Schwarzmynager has to tap! Slick submission there by Torres!

After the fight, Miguel Torres was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
