Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frank Flynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abubakar Solomon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flynn comes into the arena with Kanye West- Amazing blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Frank Flynn has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Solomon drives through with a takedown into Flynn's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Solomon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Flynn on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Flynn tries to get out of the position.
Solomon throws a strike but Flynn rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

and Flynn counters with a good low kick that Solomon was not able to check.
Solomon closes this distance looking for a takedown but Flynn circles away.

Solomon takes the fight into the clinch.
Solomon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Flynn walks away with a smile on his face. Solomon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Solomon takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Solomon drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Solomon feints and as Flynn raises his hands in defense, Solomon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Flynn is looking to stand up but Solomon won't let him.

Flynn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Solomon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Flynn would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Solomon misses with a takedown attempt - Flynn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Flynn throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Solomon.

Solomon has a takedown stuffed.
Frank Flynn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Solomon fails to land the takedown.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Solomon wants to break free but Flynn has control.
Flynn lands an elbow inside that Solomon shrugs off.
Solomon tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Flynn smiles and moves away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Solomon changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Flynn fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Good leg kick by Flynn there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Flynn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Flynn wants it to stay on the feet.

and as Solomon loses concentration momentarily, Flynn counters with a picture perfect head kick! Solomon goes down, out cold! The referee rushed in to check on his condition - I'm sure he'll be ok but that was a massive knockout!
