Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vener Galiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galiev takes one to the side of the head.
Galiev fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Power with a lazy takedown attempt
and Galiev counters with a nice body kick.

Power scores with a takedown into Galiev's guard.

Galiev had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Power is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Galiev Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Power's back instead.
Power looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.

Galiev is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Power knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Power for a finish.
Galiev is trying to stick to Power's back but Power is turning into Galiev. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Galiev's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Power.

Power throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Galiev works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Galiev avoids a punch combination nicely.
Power shoots in and drives through. Galiev sprawls well.
Power throws a series of punches but Galiev moves out of range.
Galiev fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Galiev lands a right hook to the body.

Galiev is looking to slow Power down with leg kicks.

Galiev throws out a leg kick but Power moves out of range and Galiev only half commits.
Robert Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Galiev throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Power's waist but Power gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Galiev off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vener Galiev. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Power shoots in for a double leg but Galiev sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
