Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Frazier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santiago has chosen Kanye West - Stronger as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Santiago!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santiago keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Frazier.
Frazier throws a hook to the side of Santiago's head but Santiago sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Frazier misses with a hook. Santiago ducked under it nicely.
Santiago avoids a punch combination nicely.
Santiago thows a body shot but no joy.

Frazier dives in and scores a takedown into Santiago's guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bobby Santiago hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Santiago looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Frazier feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Santiago swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Santiago ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Frazier moves away.
Santiago shoots in for a takedown but Frazier shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Santiago closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Frazier to the mat! Frazier manages to get full guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Bobby Santiago showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Frazier throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Santiago stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Frazier fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Santiago sprawls well initially but Frazier persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Santiago is trying to maintain the position but Frazier is very close to passing his half guard.
Santiago makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Santiago.

Frazier drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Santiago dives on top into guard.
Frazier controls Santiago momentarily but Santiago frees himself.

Frazier is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Santiago is sitting in close to Frazier's body. Frazier has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Santiago is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Santiago is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Frazier.
