Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Darius Elerman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mario Brazilian Bjj!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elerman tries for a takedown but Brazilian Bjj circles away easily
and Brazilian Bjj counters with a head kick.
Brazilian Bjj throws a sloppy head kick and Elerman moves out of range easily.

Elerman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Brazilian Bjj tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Elerman is in Brazilian Bjj's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brazilian Bjj preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Elerman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Elerman missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Elerman wants to control from the top but Brazilian Bjj keeps moving.

Elerman has gone for a leg lock! Brazilian Bjj slips out almost immediately though and dives into Elerman's guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Brazilian Bjj pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Elerman shoots for a double leg takedown but Brazilian Bjj sprawls well. He's pushed Elerman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Elerman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brazilian Bjj avoids it really well and circles away.

and Elerman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brazilian Bjj's guard.
Elerman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brazilian Bjj swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Elerman postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Brazilian Bjj is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Elerman, into his guard.

Elerman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brazilian Bjj can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Elerman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Elerman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brazilian Bjj can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Elerman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brazilian Bjj gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Elerman manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Elerman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Elerman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
