Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Eric McDowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Pepper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDowell comes to the cage accompanied by California Love. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pepper looks for a takedown but McDowell sprawls well.

Pepper darts in and clinches McDowell up against the cage.

McDowell lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Pepper looking for submissions off his back.

Pepper is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McDowell pulls his head out easily.
Pepper is looking to improve his position.
Pepper makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pepper.
McDowell trying to control but Pepper is working from the bottom.

Pepper working for a triangle but McDowell defends it easily.

Pepper working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McDowell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McDowell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Pepper wants to get back to his feet but McDowell is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Pepper working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McDowell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McDowell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

McDowell wants to control from the top but Pepper keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pepper is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

McDowell is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Pepper has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. McDowell is looking to defend but Pepper has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for McDowell! Pepper pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, McDowell taps out and this one is all over!
