Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Claudio Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ippo Makunouchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makunouchi on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Makunouchi keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Diaz.
Diaz throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Diaz moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Ippo Makunouchi has been cut.

Makunouchi darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Diaz gets back to full guard.

Diaz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Makunouchi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Diaz bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Makunouchi's guard.

Diaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Makunouchi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Makunouchi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Diaz's guard.

Makunouchi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diaz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Makunouchi has managed to get both his arms back between Diaz's legs - danger averted.

Makunouchi avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Diaz pushes a forearm under Makunouchi's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Makunouchi is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
