Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tiny McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Matrix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Tiny McGee has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Tiny McGee seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tiny McGee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, John Matrix!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matrix goes for a high kick. It partially lands.


It looks like Tiny McGee has been cut.
Matrix tries a head kick but it misses.
McGee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Matrix.
Matrix tries to score with a low kick but McGee moves his leg out of the way.

McGee wants to clinch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Nice defenses there by Matrix.
McGee avoids the head kick by Matrix.

Matrix closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
This has been an exciting period of action!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
McGee regains half guard, as Matrix was trying to land strikes.

Matrix is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Matrix has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Matrix seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Matrix shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

McGee wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Matrix.

Matrix fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Matrix cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! McGee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

McGee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Matrix paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Matrix looks to land a body kick but McGee moved away.
Matrix takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Matrix looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Matrix fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Matrix swats away the attempt to clinch by McGee.
McGee throws a hook to the side of Matrix's head but Matrix sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McGee drops his hands momentarily and Matrix takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Matrix fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McGee.
Matrix fakes a jab and throws a low kick but McGee checks it well.

McGee lands a nice shot to the body.
McGee chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Matrix can pounce on him.

McGee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Matrix paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Matrix looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
John Matrix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Matrix connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Matrix throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McGee.

McGee's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Matrix swings wildly with an uppercut but McGee uses good head movement to avoid it.

Matrix throws a chopping leg kick but McGee manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Matrix tries to move into range but McGee moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

McGee stalks Matrix and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Matrix's face. Matrix staggers backwards, shaken.
McGee misses with a looping left.
McGee takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Matrix throws a half hearted mid kick.
McGee chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Matrix can pounce on him.
Matrix misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tiny McGee is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Matrix closes the distance and clinches.
McGee misses with a hook to the ribs.
Matrix blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Matrix tried to land a shot to the body but connects with McGee's elbow.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McGee is trying to push Matrix away but Matrix has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McGee takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Matrix slips under a jab.
Matrix changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McGee tries to avoid it but Matrix manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McGee to the ground. McGee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
McGee bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Matrix's head backwards.
Matrix keeps the fight on the outside.
McGee looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Nice defenses there by Matrix.
Good leg kick by Matrix there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

McGee swings for the body but Matrix moves out of range.
Matrix throws a low kick but McGee avoids it.
Matrix pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McGee fails in his attempt to clinch.
McGee takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Matrix throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McGee stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Matrix walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. McGee checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tiny McGee.
Well Matrix has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
