Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Swe Dish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, J J Walker!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dish connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Dish.
Dish misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dish throws a lazy right hand but Walker sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Walker lands a slapping body shot.
Dish is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Walker throws a jab but it's blocked by Dish.
Dish takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Dish fails in his attempt to clinch.
Dish moves in looking to clinch but Walker pushes him off.
A jab from Walker finds it's way through Dish's defenses.
Dish misses with a jab to the body
and Walker counters with a straight right hand.
Walker dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Walker throws a series of punches but Dish moves out of range.

A decent looking cross lands there for Walker.
Dish throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dish looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Walker swats away the attempt to clinch by Dish.
Walker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dish takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Walker just misses with a punch to the body.
Walker has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dish finds it's way round the side to connect with Walker's head.
Dish thows a body shot but no joy.
Walker scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Dish takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Dish is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Walker swats away the attempt to clinch by Dish.
Dish tries to close the distance and clinch up but Walker swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Swe Dish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The referee is keeping an eye on Walker - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Dish tries to work over Walker's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Walker breaks from the clinch.
The crowd cheers as Walker lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dish doesn't seem phased though.

Dish scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Walker throws a nice looking combination but Dish bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Walker moves out of range of the body kick.
Dish tries to clinch up but Walker circles away and keeps his distance.

Dish lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dish stalls.
Dish jumps guard but Walker turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

A close round but J J Walker will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Walker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Dish tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Walker manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Walker tries to bum rush Dish with a series of wild strikes but Dish uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Walker lands a jab-cross combination.
Dish tried to score with a low kick but Walker checks it.
Dish fails in his attempt to clinch.

Dish tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Walker is able to avoid easily.

Dish pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Walker is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dish is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Walker is looking to take a break and control but Dish is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dish seems a little lost for a moment, as Walker dominates the positioning.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Walker is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dish has escaped the position, nice work there.
Dish is trying to control Walker's posture but Walker avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

J J Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Walker slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dish lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Walker has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Walker and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Walker looks to land a combination but Dish avoids it well.

and Walker counters with a left and a right that stings Dish.

Dish tries to close the distance and clinch up but Walker swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Dish takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
J J Walker seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Walker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
