Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jesse James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guy Germaine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jesse James has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Germaine misses with a double jab.
Germaine throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around James's waist but James gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Germaine off to one side.
James tries to clinch there but Germaine circles away.
Germaine throws a series of punches but James avoids them all with ease.
James tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Germaine paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Germaine takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Germaine misses with a low kick.

Germaine throws out a leg kick but James moves out of range and Germaine only half commits.
James tries to clinch up but Germaine circles away and keeps his distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Germaine is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
James is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Germaine is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and James counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Germaine!
Germaine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with James. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
James lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

James moves in looking to clinch but Germaine pushes him off.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
A head kick from Germaine lands but James takes it in his stride.
Germaine misses with an uppercut. James saw that one coming.
Germaine swings for the body but James moves out of range.
Germaine throws a push kick but James slaps the foot to one side.
Horrible takedown by James or perhaps it was just good defense by Germaine which made him look bad.
