Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Rollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Bones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jonny Bones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Stephen Rollins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Jonny Bones!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollins tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Bones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Stephen Rollins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circling - Bones throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bones. Rollins does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rollins throws a jab when Bones was well out of range.
Rollins tries to clinch but Bones is having none of it.

Bones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rollins tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Bones lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Bones swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Rollins is now in Bones's guard. A big mistake from Bones there, giving up the dominant position!

Bones is trying to control the position but Rollins postures up.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Rollins wants to control from the top but Bones keeps moving.
Bones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Rollins wants to stand but Bones is controlling his posture from full guard.

Rollins fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bones, pushing him back against the ropes.
A frustrated look appears on Rollins's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Rollins shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rollins was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bones tries to hold on but Rollins pushes him away.

Bones is trying to escape the mount.
Rollins throws some wild stikes that Bones manages to avoid easily.
Bones is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Bones is trying to escape the mount.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bones tries to hold on but Rollins postures up.
Rollins looking to control but Bones is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bones is trying to escape the mount.
Bones tries to lock up and control but Rollins gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Rollins can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bones is looking to escape.
Bones is looking to improve his position but Rollins isn't that keen on the idea.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Bones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rollins manages to get himself to full guard.
Rollins is adopting a defensive guard.

Bones is looking to work some ground and pound but Rollins has wrist control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bones trying to control the position from guard on top but Rollins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bones throws a big elbow that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Stephen Rollins will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

Rollins clinches up with Bones and pushes him back against the ropes.

Bones throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Rollins blocks it with crossed arms.
Bones takes an elbow to the temple.
A right handed body shot lands from Bones.
Bones changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rollins fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Stephen Rollins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonny Bones.
Rollins misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Bones counters by clinching up.

Rollins tightens his grip and picks Bones up, before dumping him to the ground. Bones manages to land in guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bones is pulling down on Rollins's head. It's preventing any offense from Rollins, at least for the moment.

Bones lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rollins!
Rollins wants to hold on but Bones pushes him away.
Bones unloads with some shots from mount but Rollins bucks and avoids them well.
Bones content just to control the position here.
Bones scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Rollins is in a horrible position here. Bones smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.


It looks like Stephen Rollins has been cut.
Bones unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Rollins wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Bones celebrates on the ropes and the crowd goes wild!
