The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Paulo Santos and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lacerda drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Boy is on top in guard.
Lacerda avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Lacerda is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Boy defends well.
Lacerda is looking for a triangle but Boy pushes his legs off easily.
Lacerda working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Boy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Boy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lacerda shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lacerda was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Boy wants to control but Lacerda is having none of it.
Lacerda jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Boy manages to avoid the submission attempt.
