Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Darius Badolato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Maurer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lucas Maurer will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badolato dives in and grabs Maurer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Maurer pushes down on Badolato's head and hops out.

It looks like Darius Badolato has been cut.
Badolato shoots for a double leg takedown but Maurer sprawls well. He's pushed Badolato's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Badolato shoots in but no luck this time.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Lucas Maurer hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Badolato looks for a takedown but Maurer sprawls well.
Maurer dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Badolato. That did some damage!
Badolato has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Maurer.
Badolato changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Maurer tries to avoid it but Badolato manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Maurer to the ground. Maurer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Badolato has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Maurer.
A head kick from Maurer lands but Badolato takes it in his stride.
Badolato is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Maurer fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Badolato has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
