PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Duberry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fermintxo Eneko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duberry comes to the cage accompanied by I Like to Move it - Reel 2 Real. Fermintxo Eneko told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Eneko cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Eneko jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Duberry manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Duberry feints a jab promting Eneko to slip. Duberry then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Eneko slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Duberry throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Eneko sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Duberry is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Eneko is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Eneko stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
The crowd cheers as Duberry lands an impressive looking overhand right. Eneko doesn't seem phased though.

Duberry stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Duberry wants it to stay on the feet.
Duberry tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Eneko was well out of range. Poor timing from Duberry.

Duberry is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Eneko.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
I really don't envy Duberry right now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Duberry fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Eneko looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Eneko counters by moving into the clinch.

Eneko wants the takedown. Duberry is fighting it off but Eneko persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Duberry's guard against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Eneko takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Eneko is working to tighten is grip on Duberry's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Duberry has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Eneko is really squeezing tight and eventually Duberry passes out! Eneko breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
