Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rebaldo Louza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jane Speedo!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Louza or perhaps it was just good defense by Speedo which made him look bad.
Louza takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Louza is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Louza misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A punch combination from Speedo misses.
An inside leg kick from Speedo misses.
Speedo's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Speedo duly obliges.
A looping hook to the body misses from Speedo. Louza does a little dance to reset his feet.
Louza tries to clinch up
and Speedo counters with a series of strikes. Louza will be more careful next time no doubt.
Speedo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Louza shoots and misses
and Speedo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rebaldo Louza. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Louza shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Speedo as he avoids it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Speedo lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Louza backs up against the cage.
Louza is looking to clinch but Speedo is avoiding it.
Speedo throws a low kick but it's checked well by Louza.
Speedo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Louza closes this distance looking for a takedown but Speedo circles away.
A punch lands to the side of Louza 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Speedo leaves Louza with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Louza doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Speedo counters with a straight right hand.
Speedo works the jab nicely.
Louza fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Speedo avoids it really well and circles away.
Speedo fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Louza misses with a takedown
and Speedo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Speedo scores with a jab to the body.
Louza shoots in looking for a takedown. Speedo tries to sprawl out of it but Louza keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Speedo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Speedo connects with a nice looking jab.
Jane Speedo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Donk. Speedo catches Louza right on the button with a cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Speedo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Speedo tests Louza's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Speedo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Louza.
Speedo stuffs the takedown attempt from Louza. Louza gets slowly back to his feet.
Speedo connects with a body shot that sends Louza's belly button to the back.
No luck for Louza with that takedown attempt.
Speedo paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Speedo misses with a double jab

and Louza decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Speedo's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Speedo controlling the position.

Louza won't allow Speedo to sweep him here.
Louza trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Louza sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Speedo's guard.
Speedo is not content to let Louza control the position.

Louza seems to be looking for submissions.
Speedo is staying active underneath Louza, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Louza tries to pass the half guard into mount. Speedo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Speedo avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Louza.
Louza tries to stand and escape but Speedo is controlling the position.

Louza in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Speedo tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Louza!
