Nicodemo comes to the cage accompanied by Thé ā la Menthe / La Caution - Instrumental . The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Nicodemo feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Masarus jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Masaru lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Nicodemo out cold! Nicodemo is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Tadashi Masaru! Tadashi Masaru retains his lightweight title!
During a confident post fight interview, Tadashi Masaru thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
