Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between bob sapp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Bubba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
sapp lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Bubba sprawling to the canvas. sapp follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Bubba hang on?

It looks like Big Bubba has been cut.
sapp controlling the action here.
sapp seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bubba does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
sapp tries to stand but can't do so whilst Bubba controls his leg.
sapp looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Bubba misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Ground and pound from sapp.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

sapp decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
sapp misses with a few strikes there.
Bubba dodges the punch combination from sapp.

sapp has closed the distance and engaged Bubba in a clinch.
sapp wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

sapp escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
sapp shoots in for a takedown but Bubba shows good takedown defense.
Bubba shoots for a takedown but sapp saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
sapp moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
sapp shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bubba as he jumps to the side.
Bubba throws a nice looking combination but sapp bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
sapp tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

sapp is breathing heavily.
Bubba feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to sapp's calf.
sapp fails with the takedown.

Bubba clinches up with sapp and pushes him back against the cage.

The fight stays on the outside here - sapp looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Bubba counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
sapp might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bubba is looking to work some ground and pound but sapp has wrist control.
Bubba prevents sapp from getting back to his feet.

Bubba decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

sapp tries to kick Bubba off but Bubba keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Bubba wants to pass the guard but sapp is defending well.
Bubba is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
sapp is looking to escape.
Bubba seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bubba connects with a nice short shot to sapp's temple.
sapp is looking to improve his position.
sapp is looking to control Bubba's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can sapp avoid being mounted?
Bubba seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

sapp wants to hold on but Bubba pushes him away.
sapp is trying desperately to improve position.
sapp is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Bubba postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. sapp looks a forlorn figure.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Bubba! sapp is hurt baaadly! Bubba is firing away with more strikes - sapp is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
