Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mad Dog Vachon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vachon's entrance music is Gros jambon. A fine choice. Silver has chosen Snow (Hey Oh) as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vachon shoots in for a takedown but Silver shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Vachon shoots in looking for a takedown but Silver manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vachon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Silver moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Vachon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Silver fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Silver comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Vachon misses with a double jab.

Vachon throws a looping overhand right but Silver ducks down to avoid it.
Vachon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

and Silver counters with a nice uppercut.
Vachon throws a sloppy head kick and Silver moves out of range easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Vachon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Vachon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silver swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Silver leaves Vachon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vachon is defended easily by Silver.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vachon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Silver counters with a straight right hand.
Jean Silver is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

A close round but Jean Silver will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

A looping hook to the body misses from Silver. Vachon does a little dance to reset his feet.
Vachon walks into a straight right hand from Silver.

Vachon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silver's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Vachon drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silver looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silver looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silver!

Vachon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silver doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Vachon is tightening it up a little... Silver has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Silver reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Silver taps out! Nice BJJ there by Vachon!
