The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Rose scores with a sloppy right hand. Velazquez should have avoided that one.

It looks like Dante Velazquez has been cut.
Rose misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Velazquez.
Velazquez moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Rose throws a nice outside leg kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rose misses with a head kick.
Velazquez blocks a head kick by Rose.
Rose lands a jab to Velazquez's midsection.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rose.
Rose tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Velazquez is defended easily by Rose.

and Rose counters with a crisp one two that drops Velazquez! Rose thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Velazquez to his feet! Velazquez is in big trouble!

Velazquez ducks into an uppercut from Rose and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
