Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robb Spewak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spewak has chosen The German National Anthem as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Robb Spewak!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Felipe Paraventi and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Spewak with that takedown attempt.

Spewak working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Drake doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Drake manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Drake throws a strike but Spewak rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Spewak thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Drake knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Spewak on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Spewak shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Drake but Drake pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Robb Spewak showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Spewak throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Drake's waist but Drake gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Spewak off to one side.

Spewak closes the distance and clinches up with Drake, looking for a takedown. Spewak pushes Drake against the ropes but Drake circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joe Drake.
