Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Me Gusta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Gusta counters with a big head kick but Maia shrugs it off.
Maia takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Gusta is looking to slow Maia down with leg kicks.
Gusta scoring well with a low kick there.

Gusta clinches with his opponent.
Maia prevents a body shot from Gusta.
Gusta looking to stall.

Maia trying to control the position but instead, Gusta has worked for underhooks and has pushed Maia into the cage.

Gusta blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Maia tries for a takedown. No joy.
Gusta tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Maia's elbow.
The referee calls for Gusta to work.
Gusta makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Gusta tries a body shot but Maia blocks it.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Me Gusta.
No luck for Maia with that takedown attempt.
Maia takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Maia shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Maia looking to secure an arm triangle but Gusta defends it well.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Maia wants to finish this one by submission but Gusta is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Maia.

Gusta really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maia. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Poor strikes thrown by Maia there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Gusta tries to control the position but Maia now has his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gusta rolls, trying to escape but Maia keeps control of the position.

Maia is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Maia working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Gusta is doing well to defend. Maia seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Gusta is forced to tap and this one is over!
