PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max Carvol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo Dontas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Max Carvol has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Max Carvol seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carvol closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dontas's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Dontas looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Dontas has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Carvol is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dontas.
Carvol wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dontas keeps working.
Dontas manages to get back to half guard.
Carvol prevents Dontas from improving his position.

Dontas is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Carvol pulls his head out easily.
Dontas is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dontas is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Carvol's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Carvol's back!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dontas seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Carvol's chin but Carvol turns very nicely into Dontas's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Carvol.

Carvol has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Dontas to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Carvol is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Dontas pulls down on the head and he's put Carvol to sleep! This one is all over!
