Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nathon McTavish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakub Witczak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jakub Witczak struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The key to victory for Nathon McTavish has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McTavish pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McTavish fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
McTavish scores with a jab to the jaw.
McTavish lands with a nice combination. Witczak backs away looking to recover.
Witczak dodges the punch combination from McTavish.
Witczak lands a jab-cross combination.

Witczak darts in and clinches McTavish up against the cage.
McTavish working hard to break the clinch.

Witczak breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McTavish throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Some bone on bone action there as McTavish checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

McTavish lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Witczak tries to clinch but McTavish is having none of it.

McTavish connects with a good right hand that stumbles Witczak. Witczak circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
McTavish lands a nice looking body kick.

Witczak slips under a jab from McTavish.
McTavish throws a sloppy head kick and Witczak moves out of range easily.
A decent looking cross lands there for McTavish.

Witczak looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Witczak working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Witczak is nestled in close to McTavish, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Witczak has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Witczak lands a nice short elbow.
McTavish looks like he's trying to stand up.
Witczak works his foot free and advances to mount.
Witczak tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

McTavish is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Witczak scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Witczak is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Witczak extends the arm and McTavish is forced to tap!
