Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, John Mcnain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Andre Roussimoff!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcnain gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Roussimoff to score an easy takedown into full guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Roussimoff accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Roussimoff has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Roussimoff's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Mcnain utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Roussimoff working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcnain striking off his back but it's not causing Roussimoff any problems.
Roussimoff is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Roussimoff throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mcnain works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Roussimoff is stalling in the full guard.
Roussimoff makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Roussimoff postures up and lands a big shot to Mcnain's brow.
Roussimoff throwing strikes but missing.
Roussimoff advances position into side control!
Mcnain is working to avoid the ground and pound but Roussimoff connects with a decent elbow.
Roussimoff is staying tight to Mcnain's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Roussimoff creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Roussimoff is chipping away with strikes.


It looks like John Mcnain has been cut.
Roussimoff working the ground and pound from side control.


John Mcnain's cut is getting worse.
Roussimoff is putting a hurting on Mcnain here, landing some big shots from side control.


Mcnain is rocked!


Jeez, John Mcnain's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at John Mcnain's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Andre Roussimoff!
Andre Roussimoff took some time post fight to say the following; 'I want to thank my sponsor and all the fans. And let everyone know that ANYONE that steps into my cage is in for a beating!'.
