Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nomor Gai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Alkofer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nomor Gai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Christian Alkofer!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gai misses with a takedown attempt - Alkofer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Alkofer gets caught napping as Gai dives in and scores a takedown. Alkofer manages to retain guard.
Alkofer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Gai keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Alkofer's head.

Alkofer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Alkofer counters with a nice double leg into side control. Gai won't be happy with that.

Gai got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alkofer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gai has managed to get both his arms back between Alkofer's legs - danger averted.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gai accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Nomor Gai.

A close second round but Christian Alkofer will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Gai's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


A shot to the liver by Alkofer. Beautiful body shot.
Gai dives in and grabs Alkofer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Alkofer pushes down on Gai's head and hops out.
Nomor Gai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gai fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Alkofer avoids it really well and circles away.

Gai changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Alkofer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Gai lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Nomor Gai has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Christian Alkofer is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Gai throws a strike but Alkofer avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nomor Gai.
I think Alkofer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
