Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Terry Sprockit Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gray Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Davis's choice of entrance music: The Blood Brothers-USA Nails. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Terry Sprockit Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Gray Davis!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis digs a good hook to Sprockit Jr's body.
Davis misses with a few strikes there.
Davis misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sprockit Jr.
No joy there for Davis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A decent looking cross lands there for Davis.


It looks like Terry Sprockit Jr has been cut.
Davis throws a good cross that connects.
Sprockit Jr checks a leg kick.
Davis throws a combination. Sprockit Jr tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Sprockit Jr tries for a takedown but Davis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sprockit Jr steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Davis.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Davis lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sprockit Jr is defended easily by Davis.

Davis looks to land a left hand but Sprockit Jr moved out of range nicely.
Davis tries to land a leg kick but Sprockit Jr saw it coming and moves away.

Davis is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Sprockit Jr had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Sprockit Jr shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Davis pinned against the cage. Davis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Davis throws the left hand but Sprockit Jr avoids the punch easily.

Sprockit Jr has his foot on Davis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Davis works his way back into a safe position though.

Davis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sprockit Jr has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Davis is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sprockit Jr.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Davis seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sprockit Jr is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Davis pulls his head out easily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Davis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sprockit Jr defends it well.

Davis is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Davis lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Davis fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sprockit Jr on the side of the head.
Davis comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Davis moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Sprockit Jr. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Davis looks to land a combination but Sprockit Jr avoids it well.
Sprockit Jr shoots for a double leg takedown but Davis sprawls well. He's pushed Sprockit Jr's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Davis is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Davis keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sprockit Jr's head.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Davis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Davis wants to control from the top but Sprockit Jr keeps moving.

Davis has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Sprockit Jr to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Davis is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Sprockit Jr pulls down on the head and he's put Davis to sleep! This one is all over!
