And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellis looks for a takedown but Tiernan sprawls well.
Tiernan gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Tiernan is leaning against Ellis and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Tiernan tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Ellis blocks a body shot from Tiernan.

Ellis tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Ellis fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Patrick Tiernan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Quinton Ellis.
Tiernan lands a hook that snaps the head of Ellis backwards.
Tiernan pushes Ellis back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tiernan tries a body shot but Ellis blocks it.
Tiernan lands a body punch.
Tiernan lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Tiernan will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ellis up against the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tiernan creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Ellis is rocked!
Tiernan digs a right hand underneath Ellis's ribcage. Ellis let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Ellis is still on wobbly legs! Can Tiernan finish him?
Tiernan creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Ellis with a big uppercut! Ellis tries to clinch up but Tiernan pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Ellis to the mat! Ellis covers up and Tiernan unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Patrick Tiernan!
Patrick Tiernan very nearly forgot to thank O'Brannigan's Fightwear amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
