The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Marcello moves away.
Lawson scores with a jab to the head.
Ze Marcello seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marcello tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Lawson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Marcello looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lawson lands a nice shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A punch combination from Marcello misses.
Lawson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Lawson walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Marcello drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Lawson swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Marcello's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
