Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robbin Goossens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stirling Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robbin Goossens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stirling Steel!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Steel moves out of range of the strikes.
Goossens fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Steel avoids it really well and circles away.
Steel fails with a takedown attempt.
Steel connects with a body shot.

Steel feints and as Goossens raises his hands in defense, Steel changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Steel is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Steel gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Goossens throws a series of punches but Steel avoids them all with ease.
Goossens really is a fat lump.
Steel defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Goossens.

Steel closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Goossens did well to prevent Steel getting side control.
Goossens is looking to control Steel's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Goossens avoid being mounted?
Goossens is breathing heavily.

Goossens kicks Steel off and gets back to his feet.

Goossens gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Steel to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Steel not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Steel pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Goossens is keeping the position for now.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Stirling Steel wasn't active enough on the ground.

Steel shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Goossens's guard.
Steel chips away with some ground and pound.
Goossens can't keep his opponent in guard - Steel advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Steel is controlling the pace.
Steel working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Steel looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Steel stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Steel shoots in for a takedown but Goossens shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Steel drives through with a takedown into Goossens's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Steel stands up and waves to Goossens to follow him.

Steel looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Goossens!

It looks like Robbin Goossens has been cut.

Goossens tries to control the position but Steel now has his back.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Steel's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Goossens is trying to get back to his feet but Steel has full control of the position and if anything, Goossens has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Steel connects with a big shot to the side of Goossens's head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

I would not like to be Goossens right now.

Steel trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Goossens doesn't escape.

Goossens wants to get back to his feet.

Steel has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Steel lands with a hammerfist to the side of Goossens's head.
Goossens rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Steel content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Steel seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Goossens won't allow Steel to pass to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Steel is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Steel is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Goossens defends it well.
Steel is taking a breather. Goossens says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Stirling Steel.
Goossens fails to land with a series of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stirling Steel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Robbin Goossens's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Steel tries to clinch there but Goossens circles away.
Steel lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Goossens backs up against the cage.
Goossens swinging wildly here.
Steel is trying hard to land a takedown here. Goossens sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Goossens throws a nice looking combination but Steel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Stirling Steel seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Goossens takes a swing at Steel's ribcage but misses.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Steel decides to stand back up. Steel steps back and let's Goossens get back to his feet.

Goossens looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Goossens tries to lock up and control but Steel gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Well Steel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
