The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toquinho with a lazy takedown attempt
and Grednev counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Toquinho doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Grednev connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Grednev shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Toquinho eats them both and turns towards Grednev to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Oooooh!!! Grednev has knocked Toquinho down with a huge combo! Grednev steps away and waves a wobbly Toquinho back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Toquinho is rocked!

It looks like Rousimar Toquinho has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Grednev has Toquinho up against the cage in a clinch.
Toquinho is still on wobbly legs! Can Grednev finish him?
Grednev scores with a shoulder strike.

Grednev breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Toquinho dodges the punch combination from Grednev.
Toquinho doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Grednev counters with a nice kick to the body.
Alexei Grednev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rousimar Toquinho.
Toquinho looks gassed!

Grednev fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Toquinho, pushing him back against the cage.
Toquinho seems to have recovered his senses.

Grednev breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Grednev lands a big head kick that sends Toquinho to the canvas! Grednev follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
