The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Silva sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Silva looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Velasquez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Velasquez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Velasquez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Silva is trying to defend but Velasquez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Velasquez in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Silva tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Velasquez!
