Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaito Rin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rin, as that shot connected.
Maia shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rin sprawls well. Rin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Maia gets slowly back to his feet.
Rin connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Rin scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Maia with a lazy takedown attempt
and Rin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Ryan Maia has been cut.
Rin throws a nice looking combination but Maia bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Maia takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Maia gets a double leg takedown into Rin's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Rin tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kaito Rin wasn't active enough on the ground.
Rin thuds his right hand into Maia's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Maia takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Maia misses with a takedown attempt
and Maia takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Maia. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Rin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Maia is breathing heavily.

Rin drops Maia with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Maia looks back up at him and smiles so Rin waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Maia is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Maia switches off momentarily and Rin cracks him with a monster right hand! Maia topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Rin dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Rin!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kaito Rin!
