Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Keyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyson Jacobs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Keyes!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs misses with a combination

and Keyes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jacobs's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Keyes is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Jacobs keeping full guard, as Keyes tries to pass.
Keyes wants to get up but he can't break Jacobs's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Keyes trying to control the position from guard on top but Jacobs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Ryan Keyes has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Jacobs leaves Keyes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Keyes looks for a takedown but Jacobs sprawls well.
Keyes avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jacobs misses with a looping left.
Jacobs throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Keyes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jacobs can pounce on him.
Jacobs rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Keyes counters with a two punch combo.
Jacobs throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Jacobs fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Keyes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Keyes doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Jacobs gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Jacobs escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jacobs throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jacobs lands a slapping body shot.
Tyson Jacobs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Keyes checks the leg kick.
Jacobs fails to land with a series of punches.
Jacobs gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Keyes counters with a thumping low kick.
Jacobs throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Keyes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jacobs was well out of range. Poor timing from Keyes.

and Jacobs takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Keyes fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Tyson Jacobs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Keyes.

Keyes closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jacobs circles away.
Jacobs lands with a kick to the ribs.
Keyes misses with a head kick.
Jacobs lets loose with a powerful body kick. Keyes will feel that in the morning.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jacobs breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jacobs keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Jacobs cracks the inside of Keyes's front leg.
Jacobs slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Jacobs lands a nice shot to the body.
Keyes on the wrong end of a nice hook.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Keyes is breathing heavily.
Jacobs looks to land a body kick but Keyes moved away.
Jacobs catches Keyes with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Keyes looks to throw the jab but Jacobs is out of range.
Jacobs cracks the inside of Keyes's front leg.
Keyes lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Jacobs lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Keyes fails with a takedown attempt.
Jacobs cracks Keyes with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
A slapping body kick lands there for Jacobs.
Jacobs's corner calls for a 1-2. Jacobs obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Tyson Jacobs is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Keyes takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jacobs lands a front kick.
Keyes has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Jacobs.

Jacobs uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Keyes has time to react.

Tyson Jacobs is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jacobs feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Keyes's calf.

Jacobs scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Jacobs lands a really nice looking cross but Keyes seems unphased.
Jacobs explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Jacobs connects with a good right hand that stumbles Keyes. Keyes circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Jacobs lands a leg kick that knocks Keyes off balance momentarily.
Keyes misses with a looping left.

Jacobs fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Keyes has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Jacobs smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Jacobs cracks Keyes with a good jab.

Jacobs plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Jacobs shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Keyes eats them both and turns towards Jacobs to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


Keyes is rocked!
No joy there for Jacobs, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Keyes is still on wobbly legs! Can Jacobs finish him?
Jacobs connects with a crisp jab.

Jacobs rushes Keyes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jacobs pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Keyes walks forward, straight into a front kick from Jacobs.
Keyes takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Jacobs jabs Keyes to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Jacobs catches Keyes with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Jacobs lands a front kick.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Jacobs! Keyes is out on his feet! Jacobs rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Keyes is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Keyes is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tyson Jacobs!
