The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smokeleaf fails with an attempt to clinch.
Smokeleaf tries to clinch there but Velilkov circles away.

Velilkov drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Smokeleaf gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Velilkov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smokeleaf's waist but Smokeleaf gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Velilkov off to one side.

Velilkov has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Smokeleaf avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Velilkov has Smokeleaf pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Velilkov pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Smokeleaf tumbling to the mat - Velilkov dives into Smokeleaf's guard.
Velilkov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Smokeleaf has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Velilkov has managed to get both his arms back between Smokeleaf's legs - danger averted.
Velilkov passes Smokeleaf's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

I would just about give that final round to Stanko Velilkov.
