Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Wells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wells shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Gordon is wriggling around trying to escape.
Wells putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Gordon manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Gordon regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Wells.

Wells avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Gordon manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Wells holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Gordon tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Gordon lands a big shot there that rocks Wells but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Gordon scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Wells is trying to stand.
Wells wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Gordon.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wells is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Gordon thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Wells tries to buck Gordon off but he can't manage it.

Wells bucks up and throws Gordon to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!
Ricky Wells seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gordon is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Wells gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Ricky Wells has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Gordon.

Wells pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gordon, as that shot connected.
A decent looking cross lands there for Gordon.
Wells takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Wells just misses with a punch to the body.
A big right from Wells misses.

Wells misses with a straight right.
Wells misses with a wild body shot.
Wells misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gordon.

Gordon loads up on a big right hand but Wells slips the punch.

Gordon is looking to sinch up a triangle. Wells throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gordon's body to avoid the submission. Gordon has instead reached around Wells's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gordon arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
