The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Penn throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hussein was covering up waiting for the punch and Penn finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Penn trying to control the position from guard on top but Hussein is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Penn trying to move into half guard but instead Hussein has managed to sweep!
Penn has his hands on Hussein's head, controlling the position.
Hussein trying to control but Penn is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hussein stopping the sweep attempt from Penn.
Hussein tries to free his leg and advance position but Penn is retaining full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Krammer Hussein.
Penn changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hussein looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hussein is looking to regain half guard here but Penn keeps moving and retains side control.
Hussein struggling a bit here.
Penn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hussein is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Penn working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hussein gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Penn looking to secure an arm triangle but Hussein defends it well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Penn has isolated one of Hussein's arms. Hussein looking to fight him off but Penn twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
