Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andy Drake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Valmir Machida!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Drake but Drake pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Machida closes the distance and clinches up with Drake, looking for a takedown. Machida pushes Drake against the ropes but Drake circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Drake stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Drake wants it to stay on the feet.
Andy Drake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Valmir Machida.

Machida looking to score a takedown here. Drake is defending well but Machida drives through and ends up in Drake's guard.
Machida trying to control but Drake is working from the bottom.
Drake knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Machida on the ground.

Drake has his feet on Machida's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
A punch combination from Drake misses.
Drake looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Drake lands a left and a right that send Machida crashing to the mat, dazed. Drake thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Valmir Machida has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Drake misses with a two punch combination.
Drake throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Machida.
Drake tries a head kick but it misses.
Drake looks to land a combination but Machida avoids it well.
Drake uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Machida.

Machida fails to land the takedown.
Drake connects with a nice looking jab.
Machida blocks a leg kick.
Drake tries to move into range but Machida moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
No joy there for Drake, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Drake does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Drake throws a body punch but Machida moves out of range.
Drake tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Drake looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Machida rushes Drake and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

Machida pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Machida will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Machida throws a shot from downtown. Drake moves away and avoids it.
Machida looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Drake is fending him off so far but Machida persists. Nope, Drake circles away and we're back to standing.
Andy Drake is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Machida lands a big shot there that rocks Drake but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Drake tries to hold on but Machida postures up.
Machida trying to control but Drake is having none of it.
Drake is in a horrible position here. Machida smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Drake is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Machida lands a heavy elbow.
Drake wants to control but Machida is having none of it.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Drake is wriggling around trying to escape.

Machida fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Drake is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Machida breaks from Drake's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Machida postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Drake out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Machida goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
