The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howlett looks to clinch
and Jones counters with a single leg into guard. Howlett didn't expect that.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Jones passes Howlett's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Jones is keen to just control but Howlett is a slippery customer.
Jones is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Howlett doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jones.
Jones maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Howlett could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Jones has cracked it and Howlett is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Jones!
