Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Winters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flok Numbers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marshall Winters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Flok Numbers!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winters tries to clinch

and Numbers moves into the clinch.

Numbers has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Winters uses from the top position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Numbers wants to sweep here but Winters controlling him for the moment.
Numbers utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Numbers seems keen to control Winters's posture.
Numbers keeping full guard, as Winters tries to pass.
Numbers keeping moving, preventing Winters from controlling successfully.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Numbers can do anything to dispel that myth.

We're going to have a standup here because Marshall Winters wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Winters tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Numbers holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Numbers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Winters is trying to control the position but Numbers postures up.

Numbers drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Numbers jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Numbers slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Numbers wants to pass the guard but Winters is keeping the position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

so Numbers counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Numbers looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Winters's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Winters misses with a takedown

and Numbers decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Winters's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Numbers is looking to stand up but Winters won't let him.

Numbers fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Winters, pushing him back against the cage.

and Numbers counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Numbers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Numbers wants to stand but Winters has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Marshall Winters has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Winters shoots and misses
and Numbers counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Numbers closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Winters did well to prevent Numbers getting side control.

Numbers seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Winters is looking for a sweep. Numbers is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Numbers perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

and Numbers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Numbers turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Numbers manages to end up in side control.

Numbers swings around for an armbar but Winters sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Numbers's guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Flok Numbers wasn't active enough on the ground.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Numbers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Numbers escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Flok Numbers showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Numbers clinches up with Winters and pushes him back against the cage.

Marshall Winters has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Winters shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Numbers counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Numbers.
Numbers stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Winters swivels though and keeps the full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Flok Numbers comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Numbers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
