Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jynkka Levanen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Avan Strash!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Levanen wants to clinch up but Strash keeps it at a distance.

Levanen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Levanen just content to control the position.

Levanen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Strash knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Strash really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Levanen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Strash is not content to let Levanen control the position.

Levanen goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Strash rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Levanen's guard! Nice work there by Strash!

Levanen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Strash throws a right and a left that Levanen avoids nicely.
Strash looks to land a left hand but Levanen moved out of range nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Levanen has gone for a leg lock! Strash slips out almost immediately though and dives into Levanen's guard.

Levanen looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Strash puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Levanen is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Strash seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Levanen has a hand on Strash's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Strash takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

That was a close second round but I would say that Jynkka Levanen will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Strash swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Strash lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Levanen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Strash.
Strash throws a nice looking combination but Levanen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Strash throws a right and a left that Levanen avoids nicely.
Strash throws a hook but Levanen avoids it easily.

Strash throws out a loose jab but Levanen uses good head movement to avoid it.

Levanen decides to stand back up. Levanen steps back and let's Strash get back to his feet.

Levanen waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Strash.
A jab from Strash misses.
Levanen closes the distance and clinches up with Strash, looking for a takedown. Levanen pushes Strash against the cage but Strash circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Avan Strash seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Levanen feints and as Strash raises his hands in defense, Levanen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Levanen wants to control from the top but Strash keeps moving.
Levanen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jynkka Levanen wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Strash thows a body shot but no joy.
Strash stuffs the takedown.

Horrible takedown by Levanen or perhaps it was just good defense by Strash which made him look bad.

Levanen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Strash swivels though and keeps the full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Levanen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Strash did well to prevent Levanen getting side control.
Avan Strash has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jynkka Levanen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
