Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh McRoberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Lynott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lynott has chosen Out in the Fields as his entrance music. Phil Lynott will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Josh McRoberts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Phil Lynott!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Dmitry Maklakov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McRoberts dodges the punch combination from Lynott.
Lynott lands a nice looking body kick.
McRoberts fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
McRoberts keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Lynott looks to throw the jab but McRoberts is out of range.
Phil Lynott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McRoberts throws a right hand that Lynott ducks under and follows up with a left that Lynott also avoids with ease.
McRoberts shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lynott as he jumps to the side.
McRoberts misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Lynott escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McRoberts does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lynott fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McRoberts has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

McRoberts on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
