Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Myint Htaike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brady Baird (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Myint Htaike!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 23 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brady Baird!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Konstantin Menshow and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baird takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Htaike looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Baird tries to get to full guard but Htaike has control of the leg.
Baird is looking to control Htaike's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Baird avoid being mounted?

Htaike throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Baird works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Baird manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Baird doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Baird throws a right hand that Htaike ducks under and follows up with a left that Htaike also avoids with ease.

Htaike escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Baird gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Baird is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Myint Htaike overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Baird would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Htaike is trying to keep Baird in close.
Baird tries to stand but Htaike is controlling from the bottom.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Baird slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Htaike is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Htaike thuds his right hand into Baird's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Baird throws a chopping leg kick but Htaike manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Brady Baird seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Baird looks to land a combination but Htaike avoids it well.

Baird lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
