Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Amir Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ty Angle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ty Angle!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Angle closes the distance and clinches.
Angle has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Khan after a bit of a struggle.
Angle is working for takedown but Khan is calmly controlling the position for now.
Angle goes for a takedown in the clinch but Khan prevents it.
Amir Khan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ty Angle.
Khan digs a right hand into Angle's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Angle's gas tank.
Khan blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Angle is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Angle can't get the takedown.
Khan wants to break free but Angle has control.
Angle is looking to take this one to the mat.

Khan is fighting off a takedown attempt but Angle is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Khan to the mat. Khan regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Angle postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Khan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Angle, into his guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Angle working for a triangle but Khan defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Khan wants to get up but he can't break Angle's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Angle looking for a sweep. Not yet Angle, not yet.

Angle has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Khan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Angle tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Angle looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Khan passes into half guard.
Angle wants to get back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Angle works his way to full guard. Good work.

Khan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Angle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Khan has managed to get both his arms back between Angle's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Khan in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Angle looking for a triangle here. Khan is fighting it but it looks tight! Angle pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Khan is tapping out - this one is all over!
