These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Denis is trying to control the action in half guard but Brooks is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Brooks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Denis wants to stand up but Brooks has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Oh but Brooks is tightening it up a little... Denis has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight!
