Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kenny Hall!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Whyte rushes Hall and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Hall ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Hall no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Whyte would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Hall pushes Whyte off and scrambles back to his feet.

Whyte has closed the distance and engaged Hall in a clinch.
Hall is trying to push Whyte away but Whyte has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Hall lands with a light punch inside.
Whyte stalling in the clinch.

Hall gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Hall not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Hall thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hall is nestled in close to Whyte, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hall working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Whyte wants to get back to his feet.

Hall is working for a submission of some sort.
Hall thows a huge punch but Whyte dodges it nicely.

Whyte keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Whyte pushes Hall off looking to stand but Hall dives back in and keeps control.
Hall throwing shots but Whyte is blocking nicely.
Whyte might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Hall is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Hall thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Whyte is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hall moves nicely into side control.
Whyte tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Hall presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Hall has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hall is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Whyte can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Whyte knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hall on the ground.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Oooooh, big shot lands for Hall! Whyte is hurt baaadly! Hall is firing away with more strikes - Whyte is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kenny Hall!
