PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Elvis Bika (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Luc Picard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bika might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to My Decision. The crowd seem to be enjoying Picard's choice of entrance music: The Picard Song. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jean Luc Picard enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bika swings away with a body shot that misses
and Picard counters with a nice uppercut.
Bika throws a push kick but Picard slaps the foot to one side.
Bika misses with a hook
and Picard counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Bika throws a front kick aimed at Picard's knee but Picard avoids it well.
Bika bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Bika throws a chopping leg kick but Picard manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

and Picard makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Bika swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Bika throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Picard stuns Bika with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Bika is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Picard's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Bika takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Elvis Bika seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bika misses with a hook. Picard ducked under it nicely.

Bika has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Picard to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Bika is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Picard pulls down on the head and he's put Bika to sleep! This one is all over!
