Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Runihura Ojore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vital Nokautenko!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Illya Tyunina and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Nokautenko - just one landing.
Ojore keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Nokautenko.

Nokautenko tries to keep at a distance but Ojore has taken the fight into the clinch.

Ojore gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Nokautenko regains guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ojore is stalling in the full guard.
Nokautenko is looking to sweep but instead, Ojore has passed into half guard.
Nokautenko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ojore. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ojore has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Ojore breaks from Nokautenko's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ojore has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ojore cracks Nokautenko with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nokautenko can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ojore really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee warns Nokautenko that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Ojore uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nokautenko.

Nice uppercut lands for Nokautenko. That snapped Ojore's head back.

Nokautenko goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ojore rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Nokautenko's guard! Nice work there by Ojore!

Ojore is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Nokautenko is looking to stand up but Ojore isn't so interested in that idea.

Nokautenko tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Ojore postures up in Nokautenko's guard and throws a big left but Nokautenko blocks it.

Ojore has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Runihura Ojore just wasn't active enough.
Ojore fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Runihura Ojore. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nokautenko closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ojore's guard.

Ojore has his feet on Nokautenko's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Runihura Ojore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ojore misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Nokautenko looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Nokautenko is looking to stall here but Ojore recovers full guard.

Ojore kicks Nokautenko off and gets to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vital Nokautenko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Ojore fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nokautenko sprawls well initially but Ojore persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Well, if Ojore is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Ojore throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Nokautenko wants to get back to full guard but Ojore has passed into side control.

Ojore stands up and beckons Nokautenko to his feet.

Nokautenko tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ojore swivels and escapes.
Nokautenko loads up on a big right hand but Ojore slips the punch.

Ojore gets a double leg takedown into Nokautenko's guard.
Ojore stays in close to Nokautenko's body and controls the position.
Nokautenko looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Ojore is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Runihura Ojore has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Nokautenko lands with a straight right. Ojore didn't see that one coming.

Runihura Ojore overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We're going to have a standup here because Runihura Ojore wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Ojore closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nokautenko circles away.

Runihura Ojore showed his dominance in that final round.
