Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junior Oliphant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Vulture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Junior Oliphant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Vulture!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliphant will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Oliphant pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Vulture misses with a series of wild punches.
Oliphant misses with a few strikes there.
Oliphant shoots in for a takedown but Vulture shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Oliphant fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vulture, pushing him back against the cage.
Vulture throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Vulture's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

A frustrated look appears on Vulture's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Vulture is trying to break free.
Oliphant tries to break free but Vulture pushes him back against the cage.
Vulture wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Oliphant has him pressed against the cage.
Vulture can't get the takedown.

Oliphant keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Vulture's efforts to push away.

Vulture breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Vulture is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Oliphant has taken the fight to the clinch.
Oliphant has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Oliphant is struggling to control the position.

Vulture escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Vulture punishes Oliphant's body with a nice straight punch.

Vulture darts in and clinches Oliphant up against the cage.

Vulture breaks from the clinch.
Oliphant throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vulture.

Vulture closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Vulture working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Oliphant struggling a bit here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Vulture wants to lay and pray for a moment but Oliphant keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Oliphant's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Vulture landing strikes.
Oliphant regains half guard.
Vulture is keen to just control but Oliphant is a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vulture is working for a kimura but Oliphant is defending it quite comfortably.
Vulture thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Oliphant's head.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Vulture is looking for a kimura here.
Vulture has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Vulture wants to pass to mount but Oliphant is defending the position.

That's time! Oliphant's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Oliphant.
Oliphant swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Vulture counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Oliphant's guard now.
Oliphant will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Vulture is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Oliphant is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Oliphant has escaped and now he's on top!
Vulture seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Vulture has momentary wrist control but Oliphant slips an elbow through the middle.
Vulture wants to stand but Oliphant is controlling the position.
Vulture is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Peter Vulture has got the better of the ground game so far.
Vulture lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Oliphant!

Vulture avoids the attempt from Oliphant to control.

Vulture has hold of Oliphant's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Oliphant manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Vulture looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Vulture prevents Oliphant from getting the reversal.

Oliphant is in a horrible position here. Vulture smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Vulture lands a big elbow - Oliphant is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Oliphant is forced to tap out!
