Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Krystian Korek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akbahi King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Krystian Korek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Akbahi King!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korek tries to clinch up but King circles away and keeps his distance.
King doesn't manage to clinch there - Korek circles away.

Korek clinches.

Korek gets control of King's arms and successfully pulls guard. Korek will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Korek swivels though and keeps the full guard.
King is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Korek trying to keep a closed guard but King is proving a slippery customer.
Korek wants to sweep but no luck.
King trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Korek looking to control.
Korek wants to get back to his feet but King is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Korek throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
King not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Korek keeping full guard, as King tries to pass.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

King closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Korek is breathing heavily.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with King in particular looking to stall.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

King is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Korek on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Korek tries to get out of the position.

King is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Korek tries to roll over but King keeps him under control.
King keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

King stands up out of the half guard.
King moves in looking to clinch but Korek pushes him off.

King forces Korek back against the cage and clinches.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Korek blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
King drops down looking for an ankle pick but Korek pulls his leg out and moves away.

King scores a takedown into full mount!
King looking to control and managing it successfully.

King is working for a guillotine from mount but Korek frees his head quite easily.

Korek in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
King lands a big elbow.
King in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Korek is trying desperately to improve position.
King landing strikes from the mount and Korek is in trouble!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

King with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
King tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Akbahi King dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Korek gets caught flat footed, as King shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
King tries to free his leg and advance position but Korek is retaining full guard.
King trying to stand up but can't free himself from Korek's guard.
Korek wants to sweep here but King controlling him for the moment.
King would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Korek is trying to control the position from the bottom.
King trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

King postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Krystian Korek wasn't doing enough on the ground.
King doesn't manage to clinch there - Korek circles away.

King decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with King in particular looking to stall.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
King has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
King sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

BOOM! King connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

King lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

King with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Korek is in all sorts of trouble here.

King lands a big shot there that rocks Korek but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
King controlling the pace for now.
King is landing with some decent strikes but Korek is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Akbahi King showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



King closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Korek did well to prevent King getting side control.
Korek tries to roll over but King keeps him under control.
King looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Korek with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
King tries to pass the half guard into mount. Korek knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
King works his foot free and advances to mount.
Akbahi King has got the better of the ground game so far.
Korek reaches up to try and control the position but King seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Korek rolls and tries to escape and now King has his back!
King controlling the position well here. Korek rolled but King kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

King looking to break Korek's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Korek remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise King will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
King lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Korek trying to control the hands but King breaks the grip.

King is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Korek defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
What can Korek do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Korek is really stuck here.
King trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Korek doesn't escape.
King scores with punches and elbows.
King really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Korek.

Akbahi King comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got King winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
